Admission requirements

  • Class 1 commercial diver

    • 18 years old
    • Able to swim
    • Able to hold your breath under water for 45 seconds
    • Medical certificate from approved diving physician  (May be conducted at NYD after the course has started.)

  • Rescue diver

    • 18 years old
    • Certified commercial diver
    • Medical certificate from approved diving physician

  • Underwater Welding

    • 18 years old
    • Certified commercial diver
    • Medical certificate from approved diving physician

  • Class 2 Saturation diver

    • 18 Years old
    • IMCA recognized Commercial diver class 1 certificate, with minimum 1 year experience
    • Minimum 100 commercial dives
    • Minimum 100 hours bottom time on commercial dives
    • Medical certificate from approved diving physician

  • Inshore Supervisor

    • 24 years old
    • Certified commercial diver, with minimum 2 years experience
    • Minimum 200 commercial dives
